IMEI Number Missing From iPhone 6s, 6s Plus Devices

Update September 14th, 11:58 PM: We have been told that demo iPhone models do not have model numbers. This will be confirmed when Apple releases iPhones on the 25th of this month.

If you are going to buy the new iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus… then here’s something interesting you should know.

In fact, if you have old iPhone with you, pick it up and compare it with the new model. You will notice the IMEI number is missing from the new model.

IMEIs (International Mobile Equipment Identity) are always printed on the back of the iPhone’s panel – and it has been that way for several years now.

But this year, for reasons unknown, Apple has removed these details from its outer cover.

Here is the pic of the old iPhone 5s with the IMEI number printed on the back:

Here is the pic of the new iPhone 6s with the missing IMEI number:

Both the devices says “Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China.” And then there’s the model number along with FCC & IC details.

Only thing is missing? Is that IMEI number!
