Love Firefox? Then You Will Like Mozilla Firefox App For iOS 9
Mozilla is improving its Firefox browser for iOS 9 firmware. And we have a 2 minute demo posted by a Reddit user that shows the initial version of Firefox running lag-free on an Apple iPhone device:
This demo shows Firefox in action. Firefox for iOS looks slick with search suggestions and a really simple tab feature.
Plus, you will notice at 0:28 seconds, tapping on the Settings button launched the menu that allows you to enable and disable host of new features, so you can decided whether to block pop-up windows, use compact tabs, or send crash reports.
Plus, you can change the default search engine from Yahoo! to Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Bing, and so on.
We can’t tell you how fast or slow Firefox on iOS is, or measure its performance. For now, this video is all we have.
In the month of May 2015, Mozilla released the iOS Firefox version in Github for its early beta testers. And as it gets refined and improved further, we can expect Mozilla to release the Firefox’s iOS app to the App Store very soon, hopefully by the end of 2015.
It will be interesting to see how it compares with iOS 9’s Safari browser, which – as the default browser for iPhone / iPad – has seen major improvements over the years.
