Microsoft Outlook Crashes in iOS 9
The free email app from Microsoft is acting crazy again. It now crashes randomly whenever you try to launch it – so you cannot read, compose, or organize your email messages anymore.
This problem is visible on iOS 9.1 beta firmware.
As one iOS developer says:
“I have been trying to open and read my Outlook emails since morning… but nope, it doesn’t work! It crashes!
Never update to iOS 9.1 beta folks – go back and downgrade to iOS 9!”
Previously, Outlook used to get “stuck” and show blank screen. And now these crashes aren’t helping at all. In fact, we have many tweets from iOS users confirming this:
Great, the latest version of @Outlook crashes on opening on iOS 9.1 b1. To report an error you have to do so from within the app. #HeadDesk

Heads up to anyone using Outlook on iOS 9.1 beta: Avoid the update since the app is crashing now. I'm back to the default Mail app for now.

@Outlook, version 1.4.2 of the Outlook IOS app keeps crashing under IOS Beta 9.1(13B5110e). Can you take a look at that?(+Solve the problem)

Even trying to close the Outlook app from the background and re-opening it doesn’t solve this problem. We have also tweeted Outlook to look into this and come up with a quick fix.
Hi @Microsoft @Outlook team, can you please fix the "crashing" problem in iOS 9 beta? -> http://t.co/UpqOUnE8Gp #ios9problem

Till the issue is resolved, you can use the default Mail app in your iOS.
Update September 17th, 2015: Outlook responds with a tweet requesting to uninstall and re-install the application. This is a temporary fix. Read more.
@ios9apple We're on it! Go ahead and try reinstalling the app then restart the phone. Usually that does the trick. 🙂
