How to update Microsoft Office 2007 to 2010

Launch Word or any other Office application, and start a new document.

Navigate to FILE > ACCOUNT (if Outlook was opened, select OFFICE ACCOUNT).

If you don’t immediately see the UPDATE NOW option, you might need to click ENABLE UPDATES first.

Office will automatically close the "YOU’RE UP TO DATE!" window once it has finished installing any updates.

The UPDATE OPTIONS button also allows you to VIEW previously installed updates or DISABLE updates.

You can update Office from the same location if you bought it through the Microsoft Store app on your Windows device!

Close all Office programs.

Enter "Microsoft Store" into the taskbar search and hit Enter to launch the MICROSOFT STORE app.

Verify you are logged into the Microsoft account linked to your Office license by clicking the [Click the Profile icon] icon.

Select DOWNLOADS AND UPDATES by clicking the [Click the See More icon] icon.

Now let’s explore whether Microsoft Office 2007 can be updated.

Microsoft Update will no longer provide you with Office 2007 software updates.

There will be no more security updates for you. Updates for security on your computer are what shield it from dangerous viruses, spyware, and other unwanted programs.

Technical support via chat or phone will no longer be available to you.

There won’t be any more support content updates given. The majority of the online help material will actually be retired.

Office 2007 will no longer be available for download from the Microsoft website.

While Office 2007 is still functional, we advise you to update to a more recent version in order to take advantage of all the newest features, security updates, and patches.
