Now let’s examine the installed location of Adobe AIR.

Adobe AIR is set up in the following directories:

  • Within the Program FilesCommon FilesAdobe AIR directory on Microsoft® Windows®.
  • In the /Library/Frameworks/Adobe AIR.framework directory on Mac OS X.
  • In the /opt directory on Linux.

AIR applications operate within the Adobe AIR runtime.

The AIR application installer, which is needed to install AIR applications, is also included.

AIR files, or files with the .air filename extension, are used to deploy AIR applications.

The standard application directory’s subdirectory receives the addition of the installed AIR application.
