How to Modify the Text of a Received Email

To alter the subject: Select the full subject line when the email opens. After entering a substitute, click SAVE.

Make your edits by selecting MOVE > ACTIONS > EDIT MESSAGE. Choose SAVE.

Here’s how to alter any Outlook mail you receive’s subject line.

To open the message in a new window and make changes, double-click on it.

To select the whole subject line, place your cursor in the subject line and hit CTRL-A on your keyboard.

Enter the desired subject line here.

In the message window’s upper-left corner, click SAVE.

Shut down the chat window.

The Reading Pane displays the updated subject line. The message displays the subject of the initial discussion.

You can edit the text in the body of an email message you’ve received by using the Action menu.

Launch Outlook.
