  2. After checking the box that says "ALLOW CHANGES BY MORE THAN ONE USER AT THE SAME TIME," click OK.
  3. At the prompt, save the workbook.
  4. Save the shared workbook on a network location so that other users can access it by clicking the Save As option on the File menu.

Now let’s explore the topic of how many users can edit an Excel spreadsheet simultaneously.

The Excel workbook that you and your colleagues are working on can be opened.
We refer to this as co-authoring.
When you coauthor, you can quickly—in just a few seconds—observe each other’s changes.
Additionally, the colors of other people’s selections may differ in some versions of Excel.
In Excel, if the version you’re using allows co-authoring, you can type email addresses, select SHARE in the top-right corner, and then select a cloud location.

Now let’s see how to display a shared workbook in an Excel document.

The most recent iterations of Excel 2010, 2013, and 2016 facilitate workbook sharing and collaboration.
Click the SHARE WORKBOOK button in the Changes group of the Review tab to share an Excel workbook.
Choose the ALLOW CHANGES BY MORE THAN ONE USER AT THE SAME TIME option in the Share Workbook dialog box.
To make the Excel file accessible to others, save it to a network location.
The workbook’s name will have the word [Shared] to the right of it to show that it is shared.
Go to the Share Workbook dialog box and uncheck the ALLOW CHANGES BY MORE THAN ONE USER AT THE SAME TIME option to stop sharing the workbook.
