How to Select All Photos from iPhone Gallery

If you have a little patience and skill, you can choose every picture in the ‘All photos’ album.

  1. Click "Photos > All Photos" and then "Select."

  2. Navigate to the bottom of ‘All Photos’ and select the final picture to tap. Swipe your finger across all of the photos toward the top border of the screen when you notice the blue checkmark, then hold down while the photos scroll below your finger.

Making this kind of selections for every photo will take time.

If that’s what you’re trying to do, though, you shouldn’t attempt to remove every picture at once. It might not be able to empty the recently deleted album if it contains more than 1000 items at once (possibly more). Only remove pictures one at a time.

Tap ‘Select’ when viewing a collection of pictures or videos. Next, locate where you want to start, tap on the first picture, and then slide to pick at least one more, all the while keeping your finger on the screen. Tap the top of the screen with your other hand without lifting your finger. You will instantly select everything from the bottom of the page to the top.

Initially, you only need to slide to choose between two pictures or videos. You could instead go straight to the content preview if you only do one.

It will only select everything between where you were and where your finger is when it jumps to the top after you tap the top of the screen.

As a result, you can swipe up and to the left until everything on the visible screen is selected before tapping the top.

Because the options behind the bottom menu bar that appears obscures them, you can only navigate from bottom to top. Therefore, you are unable to begin at the top, choose, and swipe down before selecting the ‘Photos,’ ‘For You,’ or ‘Albums’ tab to navigate below.

Swipe up until you reach the content you truly want to remove, then begin from there. You don’t have to start at the bottom of a tab or album.

You can see how many items are selected at the top of the screen.

Now, to delete them, simply tap the trash can. You’ll see a pop-up that indicates how many pictures, how many bursts, and how many items in total you have to wipe. To be certain that everything will be deleted, select "Delete #### Items."

This tip can be used to share a lot of content more quickly in addition to being useful for removing content. Click the share button rather than the trash can.

You can run into problems, though, if you have too many things or if all of your images and videos are optimized—that is, saved in full resolution on iCloud rather than your device.

Now let’s explore the most effective method for removing all of my iPhone’s photos.

You can move pictures and videos to your computer using the Photos app and a USB cable.

iCloud Photos also allows you to share your photos across all of your devices.

You can import images from one iCloud device to another when you use iCloud Photos.

Your iCloud storage is used by the images and videos stored in iCloud Photos.

By connecting your device to your Mac, you can import images and videos into your computer.

For Mac importation: Use a USB cable to link your iPhone or iPad to your Mac.

On your PC, launch the Photos application.

The next thing we’ll cover is how to select every file on my iPhone.

For those who use Apple devices, knowing how to drag and drop two fingers to select multiple items on an iPhone is practically a forgotten skill, but it’s something you should either learn again or brush up on.

The greatest iPhones and iPads have had this feature for a while, but Apple didn’t really advertise it, and it’s not something you’re likely to stumble upon.

Regretfully, this gesture is only guaranteed to function in apps created by Apple itself. However, that covers important apps like Notes, Mail, Reminders, and Files, so you’ll probably find some use for it in your regular iPhone activities.

Since iOS 13, iOS has included the "Two-Finger Pan Gesture" and the ability to select multiple items. It also functions on iPads, but for the time being, we’ll concentrate on the iPhone.

OPEN AN APP THAT IS ABLE TO DRAG TO SELECT. This applies to the built-in Mail, Reminders, Notes, Messages, Contacts, Reminders, Files, and Shortcuts apps as well as, with any luck, a few third-party apps.

To activate the selection mode with a list or grid of items, TAP AND HOLD WITH TWO FINGERS. Then, to select additional items that are nearby, DRAG YOUR FINGERS across the screen.

Simply swipe back over the items you didn’t want to deselect if you had too many selected.
