Please identify yourself as an administrator or an administrator group member.
Press the Start -> Play button. Enter "compmgmt.msc" and press the "OK" button. Alternately, you can click the Workspace/Computer symbol with the right mouse button and select the Manage option.
In the console structure, select "Dataträgerverwaltung." The Dataträgerverwaltung window appears. Your drives and data storage devices will be shown as a graphic and a list. To adjust the display of your workbooks and data storage devices in the upper and below window areas, select either Oben or Unten from the menu view and click on the view you wish to use.
Go through one of the following procedures in the Dataträgerverwaltung window, and then continue with Step 2:
- You can create a new partition by using the right mouse button to click on the available storage on the base platter where you want to create the partition. Following that, select "Partition erstellen."
- To create a new logical runwork, use the right mouse button to click on the empty space on an expanded partition where you want to create the logical runwork, and then select "Logisches Laufwerk erstellen."
Click "Continue" to create new partitions in the assistant.
Click "Continue" after selecting the type of partition you want to create (primary, expanded, or logical) and pressing "Next."
Enter the partition’s size in MB in the Partitionsgröße field, then click "Continue."
You can manually arrange the workbooks, have the system automatically start the workbook, or assign no workbooks to the new partition or the logarithmic workbook. Click "Continue" after that.
Proceed to enter the desired formatting options (e.g., enter a work description) by using one of the following procedures:
- Should the partition not need to be formatted, select "Diese Partition nicht formatieren" and then select "Continue."
- To format the partition, click "Diese Partition mit folgenden Einstellungen formatieren" and fill out the fields in the Formatting Dialog box.
Verify the accuracy of the options you have chosen, then click "Fertig stellen."
The new workspace should now be presented on the computer or workstation with the new workspace designation and workspace bookstabs.
