How to Activate AirServer

On your computer, you can activate AirServer Universal for PC for all users by doing the following:

  1. Launch the elevated command prompt (run-as-admin).
  2. Use this command to make AirServer available to all users: Activate the activation code by going to "%PROGRAMFILES%APP DYNAMICAIRSERVERAIRSERVERCONSOLE" and making sure to replace the activation code with your own.
  3. Turn your PC back on.

Let’s investigate the cause of my non-functioning AirServer.

When using wireless technology, the signal may be blocked by a variety of situations. Your device may not be able to communicate with AirServer for one of several reasons if the casting button is absent, your computer is not listed among the destinations, or nothing happens on your computer even after you select it.

  • Turning off and restarting your computer(s), router, and device(s) should be your first course of action.
  • Verify that the computer and device are connected to the same network.
  • Run all of the Windows updates that are available on your computer if that doesn’t resolve the problem.
  • THE LATEST SOFTWARE UPDATES should also be installed on your device or devices. For optimal performance, we strongly advise using at least build 1809 if you are running Windows 10.
  • Verify that you are using the most recent AirServer Universal version.
  • Firewall software is the most common cause of connection problems. It might be necessary to modify your firewall configuration in order to permit AirServer.exe to receive incoming networking traffic. Make sure the same is done for any additional firewalls (like Windows Defender) that may be installed on your computer. Our knowledge base contains assistance with configuring some of the most widely used firewall programs.
  • Your connection’s inability to handle the bandwidth needed for streaming or mirroring could be another reason for the problem. To see if the performance is better, you can try using an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the network.

Now let’s get AirServer Connect 2 configured.

  • A VESA mount plate and a universal power adapter are included in the packaging.
  • Adapters for Europe (Schuko), the UK (BS 1363), North America (NEMA 1-15P), and Australia (AS/NZS 3112) are included with the power supply.
  • There are two sizes of VESA mount holes: 75 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 mm.
  • Plug the power supply (C), HDMI cable (A), and Ethernet cable (B) into the device’s back.
  • The device’s front features two covered USB ports, a power button, and a power indicator light.
  • Press the power button to turn on AirServer Connect 2. Follow the instructions on the screen to begin configuring.
  • Quick Setup can be completed via a web browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the same network as the AirServer Connect 2 if it is connected to it via an Ethernet cable.
