We will next look at how to get your Adobe Acrobat license activated offline.

  1. Until you come across a link that reads "I cannot connect to the internet" or "Having trouble connecting to the internet," follow the installation or product launch screens. To begin offline activation, click the link and adhere to the prompts on the next screen. You can find instructions there on how to create a Request Code.
  2. To generate a response code, use a device with internet access. Log in and enter the serial number of your product along with the machine-specific Request Code.
  3. When prompted to finish the offline activation process, enter the Response Code on your offline computer’s installation or launch product screen.
  4. For a period of 72 hours, the machine-specific Request Code is valid. Simply generate a new Request Code if the process takes longer than 72 hours to finish.

When packaging Creative Suite applications, volume customers might want to think about using the free Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE) 3.0. Because their volume license is packaged using AAMEE 3.0, only the IT Administrator needs to sign in and complete a one-time activation; users do not need to do this.
