Apple iOS 9 Brings Back “Shuffle All” Songs Option

If you missed the “Shuffle all” feature or wondered where did it disappear from the iOS 8’s Music app on your iPhone and iPad, then here’s a good news:

Apple iOS 9 now has brought back the “Shuffle All” option in the Music app.

Which means that you can now just tap on the “Shuffle All” to start playing random songs from your music collections.

Note that this option was removed in iOS 8.4 in the month of June, 2015.

Why Option To Shuffle Matters

On older firmware, Shuffle All option was available at the right-bottom corner of the screen, as shown here:

This wasn’t easy to access – and many iOS users didn’t want it this way.

In fact, even after iOS 9 Beta 1 release, there were no changes.

Same is the case with iOS 9 Beta 2. We still had the Shuffle All option located at some deep corner.

But with iOS 9 Beta 3, Apple has added Shuffle All to your uploaded music (not Apple Music) as shown here:

Get Started: How to Shuffle Songs

The old way of shuffling songs in iOS 8.4 is no longer required.

To start shuffling all the songs you have in your music playlists, all you need to do is launch the Music app and look for the Shuffle All option located at the top:

Just tap on that option and start listening to your shuffled songs. It’s that easy and simple.

Note: Of course, adding this to iOS 9 Beta 3 means only one thing: When Apple officially releases iOS 9 stable version, everyone can have access to this option. Unless Apple decides to change / tweak it further in the upcoming iOS 9 Beta 4 – which we surely hope never happens.

Remember: Only the songs you have uploaded can be shuffled. Other songs – as in the Apple Music songs you have downloaded / purchased – do not come with this shuffling feature. We know it’s required, but Apple just won’t listen yet!
