New Pocket App Update For iOS 9 Adds Spotlight Search, Fixes Crash Issues
Pocket app (Getpocket) for iOS 9 has been updated.
It is one of the most popular iOS app among journalists and enthusiastic readers. We love it, and we are incredibly happy to see a new update that is optimized for iOS 9.
The latest version of the app, Pocket v6.0.1 is out on the App Store for free download. Here’s what’s new with the Pocket app:
Spotlight Search: Use Spotlight to search for saved Titles and URLs and open them directly in Pocket’s Article View.
Picture in Picture: Continue watching videos in Pocket while using other apps on your iPad.
Plenty of bug fixes and improvements made specifically for iOS 9. Enjoy!
Out of all these, Spotlight Search is the most-awaited feature. You have to swipe down from your iPhone / iPad to open Spotlight, then type in any keyword and relevant stories from Pocket app will be listed on your screen.
Prior to this, we noticed the app didn’t load any of the articles and crashed immediately after upgrading to iOS 9.
