Can I Share iCloud Storage Space With Family / Friends?

In my free time, I go deep into the forums in search of questions that I could answer. And today, we have one such iCloud question that is extremely valid and worth asking.

The question is related to sharing your iCloud account (and its storage space) with your friends and family members. Is it even possible to share a single iCloud account with others?

How can multiple iOS users access one iCloud account?

Now that Apple has come up with new pricing for iCloud storage, such questions have become frequent.

Answer:

Say that you are a husband and you want to share the storage space with your wife…

You think you can do it by giving her access to your Apple username and password? Yes, it’s possible.

You can share iCloud storage space, but here’s the thing:

It will mess you up your contacts, documents and the backup. This is because that’s the way iCloud is designed.

It is meant for single user only. Adding another user who has his/her own documents, data stored locally creates a problem.

To put it in simple words, it is not recommended that you split or share an iCloud account with your friends and family.

So what else can you do? If you want to share apps, music, movies, books, then you can activate Family Sharing on your iPhones and iPads.

That’s the only way to share purchased and free downloads with multiple people.
